Emmie (age 7) won Grand Prix at Carmel Klavier International Competition with a $500 prize!
Emmie won something better than 1st place, Grand Prix, at Carmel Klavier International piano Competition! It comes with a crystal-made trophy (therefore her smallest one) and a check of $500! Emmie gets to perform at Booth Tuckington Civic Theater - the grandest concert hall she ever played at. There were four Elementary competition groups (age 7-9 of all levels), and Emmie is the only Grand Prix award winner for the Elementary groups. The competition was very organized and uplifting. For a 7 year old, all of these are beyond her imagination.
Emmie has been fortunate to learn piano from, in her own words, "the best piano teacher in the whole world", Ms. Sueanne Metz for the past 3 years.
