Patching up the Heart and the Soul!
Not in any philosophical, religious, or any other metaphysical sense.
We will create a mosaic of the two astro photos we created last time to make a single image with the two objects as they belong together (visually, on the sky, through a telescope).
When I shot the images, I didn’t pay enough attention to the framing to get it in a 2-panel mosaic. I frankly don’t know if it would have been possible to make a good one anyway.
Now, I do need to make a 3rd stitching frame to tie everything together. The problem is that it’s been a month. Summer is coming we can’t really expect to get an image like the ones we have at this point. But we’ll try and get through the motions of creating a mosaic using Pixinsight.
If weather permits, I’ll probably redo the whole thing next season and we can compare the result.
