I am so excited to finally be able to share my next project with you all - Flowers by @MileyCyrus 🌸 🌼 Of course I love the original song in its self-empowerment, LA-infused, summer-anthem glory, but when @MileyCyrus released the toned down demo last week, just before the launch of #EndlessSummerVacation, I knew I had to reinterpret the song in my own style!
What I love about this song, Miley's original video, and reinterpreting it particularly, is the acknowledgement that moving through heartbreak is not a one-size-fits-all kind of experience. I can only speak from my perspective, but for me, sometimes dancing with myself, holding my own hand, and yes, even buying myself flowers isn't really that much fun. But on some days, some good days, these small acts of self-reliance and self-love are all you need to keep going!
I hope my cover of Flowers brings you joy or enough reflection to one day soon be that joy you are looking for.
