Is the Solution Unsaturated, Saturated, or Supersaturated?

In this video we go over how to determine the level of saturation in a solution (unsaturated, saturated, or supersaturated). These are pretty interesting I think because they can be observed all the time in day-to-day life. Supersaturated solutions are obviously more rare, but a good example of their use in the food industry is with rock candy. The process of making rock candy involves adding sugar to very hot water, saturating it, and then cooling the water such that it forms a supersaturated solution. Then a stick is placed into the solution, allowing for sugar crystal formation against the stick.
