There are three steps to full fill the blank about tense.
3 Steps
1. Identify the tense of the sentence. 2. The sentence is for active voice or passive 'voice.
3. The form of the verb based on the sentence's verb.

simple present tense
sentence pattern is
subject + v1/s or es form of verb + object/o.w

' Examples
•તે રોજ સવારે ચા પીવે છે .
•He drinks tea every morning .
•સૂર્ય પૂર્વમાં ઉગે છે .
•The sun rises in the East .
•હું દિવસમાં બે વાર ખાઉં છું .
• I eat twice a day .

subject - Verb

• He • She • It Singular Noun }.
' s ' or ' es ' form - plays , goes

I , We, You • They • Plural Noun} •V1 - play , go

Rules for s or es
ss, sh, ch, x, or o
• Ex. Pass - passes
Push - pushes
Teach - teaches
fix - fixes
go - goes

• Consonant + y = ies
Ex. Cry - cries
Fry - fries
Vowel + y = ys
Ex. Play - plays
buy - buys

Key-words :
•always, usually, generally, mostly, daily, often, regularly, everyday every year, every month, never, seldom, once in a week, twice in a month, rarely etc..

Negative sentence:
Sub + do/does + not + V1 + object/ O.w.
Examples
He does not drink tea every morning.
I do not eat twice a day.

Interrogative sentence :
Do/Does + Subject + V1 + object/ O.w. ?
Examples.
Does he drink tea every morning?
Do I eat twice a day?

'Special uses of simple present tense • If one sentence in the clause is of simple future tense then the other sentence is of simple present tense. Ex. 1. If it rains, we shall get wet.
2. Unless you work hard, you won't get good marks.
• Here and there in the surprise sentence beginning with there which expresses what is actually happening in the present.
• Here comes the bus!
• There she goes!
