It is long, it is hard, and it is going to ramrod you into a gelatinous puddle. No sugarcoating it, this is one Major Richard Johnson of a mod. Welcome to RyokoTK's ballroom of eternal chaos and carn. Now dance!

Do you like your retro FPS with complex, sprawling architecture, oodles of secrets, and monster counts that typically go into the multiple hundreds? 'Marathon Phoenix' got's ya covered. Of course, you'll have to deal with hordes of over-tuned enemies coming from enough monster closets, ledge snipers, and teleporter ambushes that would make Dario Casali envious. Heck, there's even a running tally of collectables so now you can see how much I suck at finding secrets in real-time.

Fortunately, you got a new array of wowie zowie weapons to deal with the chaos:

Machine Pistols (Few things in the world can argue with akimbo SMGs.)
Fusion Gun (Basically the fusion pistol. The overload of robotics and overall accuracy makes this indispensable.)
Assault Rifle (Mechanically unchanged but your max ammo count is lower. If it weren't for the grenades, it'd be completely worthless.)
Crossbow (A reasonably accurate tool for the onslaught of enforcers. Dealing with the knockback constantly gets in the way of 2 shooting baddies.)
Fusion Mortar (Your first real big-badda-boom option. Has a nasty habit of scattering everything so they can come back at you from all angles and makes follow up shots ineffective.)
N-Cannon (A napalm fed alien weapon. Effective vs. everything.)
SPNKR (Relatively unchanged. Delivers a bigger boom.)
Energy Katar (Secondary fire makes you 'invulnerable' to everything except fusion weapons. Dead useful.)

Unfortunately, everything is rather bullet spongy and you're constantly getting out-ranged by everything. This makes your arsenal feel rather underpowered once you start going up against the renegades. They also reimposed the ammo limit for TC which I'm pretty sure is some kind of design sin.

2:13 A Space Marine Is You (Drawing you in with promises of delicious carn.)
12:58 Nottingham Lace (The first sprawling level. Hints of the pain to come.)
24:42 Enchanting New Mexico (What about bob X 4!)

53:32 Chapter 2 - The Renegade Mystery
53:38 Static Sand Land (Those gray guys are a pain in the butt. Surely there won't be more, right?)

3:50:58 S'phtstorm (Astonishingly, this map is really fun now that we're fighting the Pfhor again.)

7:47:01 Another Dimension (I have no idea how the hell I one-lifed this. Welcome to PAIN!)
8:26:35 Swan Song (Dad says I have to go home now...)
8:34:18 Ending
