Hi, this is Steve, and thank you for watching my video.
In this video, we’ll review 2 out of 4 phrasal verbs that use the word “hang.”
We already practiced two of them. Here are the last two, “hang out,” and “hang up.”
“Hang out” is very important English! It’s friendly. When you invite a friend to get together, you can ask them, “want to hang out tonight?”
It also means “To spend time relaxing.” If a coworker asks you what you did last weekend, you can say, “It was great! I could just relax and hang out and watch tv all weekend.”
“Hang up” is simple. It’s casual. It just means to get off the phone.
You say something like “It was great talking to you but I have to hang up now.”
Or “wow! He hung up without saying goodbye!” Something like that.
Are these phrasal verbs easy or difficult? Let me know!
