Turkish Parliament hosts Palestinian president
Turkey's Grand National Assembly (TBMM) welcomes Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara on Thursday, August 15, for a special session addressing Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.
The Palestinian leader's visit follows his recent trip to Russia. He was invited by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also attend.
Abbas is expected to cover the current Israel-Hamas conflict, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and could also touch on relations between Fatah, Hamas and other Palestinian factions following talks last month in China.
