The value of sin(36º) cannot easily be derived from the standard values sin(0º), sin(30º), sin(45º), sin(60º) and sin(90º) using the trigonometric identities/angle sum formulas (e.g., unlike sin(15º)). In this video, we explain this rarely known value of sine from scratch using some beautiful tricks, fifth degree equations, and a dive into the world of Euler's formula and complex numbers at the end. The video is accessible to anyone who is familiar with the definitions of sine and cosine and has a passing familiarity with the basic trigonometric identities (such as the trigonometric angle sum formulas, sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1 etc.). You don't want to miss this super fun and magical trigonometric calculation! 🤩
