First Transceiver off the Assembly Line for 2018
It only took 35 years but now we have a real working SSB Transceiver! This rig was initially built about 35 years ago and just this week we updated it with some modern technology and the results were amazing. In just the last three days we have had over a dozen contacts most running 500 watts and the two element beam. One of the early contacts was with a station in Japan -- a 15 minute QSO and more that the appliance op typical QSO where your are 5X9, the rig is a FLEX6700 running an Acom and the antenna is a 6 over 6 over 6 at 120 feet! It was such a pleasure.
