Write an equation with an unknown for a word problem, part 2
In this short 3rd grade math lesson, I write an equation for a two-step word problem, using a letter for the unknown. I also write another, different equation for the same problem - which usually you can indeed write several different equations to match a word problem. This word problem is about addition or subtraction, so our equations are simple. (standard 3.OA.D.8)
