If the expression with a negative exponent is in the denominator, then we actually get a complex fraction, and through simplifying that, we find that the expression as if "moves" to be in the numerator but with a positive exponent. That gives us a shortcut for simplifying expressions such as 5/3^(-2).

After looking at that concept, we will then simplify a fairly complex expression involving several powers and several negative exponents. The goal is to simplify it so it uses the minimum number of bases and exponents.
