I have a car accessory (auto door closer) that draws 104 to 107mAh when on stand by, seems like the ECU does not go to sleep and would easily drain the battery when not in use for a long time. Definitely a parasitic drain as normal stand by should be around 20mAh only.
I realized that I may be able to use a relay to just turn on the accessory when needed and turn it off when parked. This lead me to https://www.the12volt.com/relays/rela... wherein I can use 2 relays and 1 diode that can be triggered by my car's power locks. The idea is triggering the system and keeping the voltage flowing then re-triggering the system to cut-off grounding to terminate the system.
The good thing about this is that I only need the accessory to function when my car is unlocked (usually for short periods of time or when car is running). Where I live, it is standard to lock cars to avoid theft and other unwanted things from happening.

Prior to installing the relays, car is drawing 137mAh parked. After installing the relay system, draw is back to normal (18 to 20mAh). As seen on the video, when unlocked, draw is at 150mAh but doesn't happen for more than 5 minutes. When car engine is running, I don't mind if I leave the car unlocked as the alternator recharges the battery.
