Community Engagement (3/22/23)
One of the four key principles of VISTA service is to empower communities. VISTA members do this by living among and involving community members in planning and carrying out their projects. This webinar is intended to help VISTA members understand the concept of asset-based community engagement so they can thoughtfully and respectfully seek community input to carry out their assignments effectively. It will define community engagement in the context of VISTA service and will help learners identify outreach activities relevant to their community that they may complete throughout their VISTA service term.
