Bracing vs Counter Charging - When should you be doing them: Total War Warhammer 2
Today, we have a short guide showing the basic mechanics of bracing and counter charging utilizing the charge bonus mechanic in Total War: Warhammer 2.
Counter charging utilizes the Charge bonus mechanic which is a bonus to melee attack and weapon damage that fades out over the course of 15 seconds after base impact. noting that it has no effect on armor piercing damage.
Bracing is the act of letting your infantry line take the charge of the oncoming enemy. The main benefit of bracing is the increase in mass, making the unit more difficult to push through.
We go over three main scenarios showing the number comparisons between bracing vs counter charging. We use infantry vs infantry, infantry vs cavalry, and infantry vs monstrous units. Each situation is tested and results show which of the two tactics we should be using in each scenario.We also cover the differences between using thick formations vs thin formations.
