Why You Should Be Focus Firing
Focusing firing in Total War: Warhammer 2 can be quite useful. This tactic allows us to severely weaken specific units on the battlefield. Usually, we'll want to focus fire the more elite units first. If we have 3 or 4 low-tier ranged units focus fire an elite infantry and completely decimate them then we are generating immense value. Taking out the elite infantry is always a priority because we don't want them to grind up our low to mid tier frontline units.
Focus firing can also be applied to monstrous units. Focus firing down monstrous units can be much easier since they have much larger hit-boxes compared to infantry. Monstrous units are typically very expensive so taking them out with just a few low to mid tier ranged infantry could turn the tides of the battle towards your favor.
