Travel Documentary, India 2024. 🇮🇳 Join us as we explore Munnar, India’s most popular hill station famous for its tea plantations! We try to find out why this place in Kerala draws visitors from all over and get an inside look at the lives of its hardworking tea pickers!
Our journey starts with a scenic drive from Kumily Periyar through the winding roads of the Western Ghats. In Munnar, we settle into a cozy hotel and are greeted warmly by the locals. We take in a wonderful sunset, taste the Kerala food, explore the town, and visit must-see spots like the Tea Garden View Point and Lockhart Tea Park.
And we’re on a quest to meet the real tea workers and discover their world. After a search that takes us off the beaten path, we connect with the Tamil tea pickers, learn about their daily lives, and see the hard work behind every cup of tea.
We also visit the village where these tea garden workers live, gaining insight into their challenges and the support they receive from the Communist Party of India.
Back in Munnar, we savor the tea flavors that make Munnar famous.
