883 (read «eight eight three») were an Italian pop musical group founded and composed initially by Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto and subsequently by Pezzali and other musicians.
With their first two albums, Hanno Killed Spider-Man and North South West East, 883 stood out in the Italian pop scene for their youthful and original lyrics, which became an icon of the Italian nineties.
Although they are primarily classified as a pop music group, their musical career has also spanned other genres such as rap, dance, rock and, especially in their debut album, even hip hop.
