In this video we are visualizing the world population from 1950 to 2022 on a map using markers for every one million inhabitants.

In 2022 the global population passes 7,9 billion. Asia is home to the majority of the world's inhabitants with China and India topping the list. The United States, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia, Mexico, Japan and Ethiopia follows. North America is marked in blue, South America in green, Europe in pink, Africa in yellow, Asia in red, the Middle East in purple and Oceania in orange.
