Byteweiser Inkscape Quick Tip #1: Avoiding Trouble Ungrouping Shapes With Dynamic Offsets

There is an issue in Inkscape when grouping objects with dynamic offsets applied to them. If a group of objects is moved from where it was originally grouped and then ungrouped, the objects with a dynamic offset applied will move back to its original position on the screen. In order to avoid this, you should always perform an "Object to Path" an all objects about to be grouped before you move them. Otherwise, you may get some unexpected results.
