Windows Me Build 2460
This is Windows Me build 2460 (4.90.2460) in 86Box. This is a pre-Beta 3 build which was compiled on 2000-02-01 and expires on 2000-08-15. This build was made available on 4 February 2000.
How I got this to run:
86Box with these settings:
Machine type: Socket 7 (Dual Voltage)
Machine: [i430VX] Shuttle HOT-557
CPU Type: Intel Pentium MMX 233 (A 150 MHz Pentium CPU is required at minimum. Also, a 233MHz CPU is difficult to emulate unless you have a good CPU)
Memory: 128 MB
Time sync disabled
Display: [PCI] S3 Trio64V+ (Phoenix) 4MB (Please note that that many S3 devices will not work with many Me builds. This one will.)
Mouse: Standard PS/2 Mouse
Sound: [ISA16] Sound Blaster 16
Hard disk: 8000 MB IDE
Floppy drive: 3.5" 2.88M
CD-ROM: ATAPI 72x
Boot disk used: Windows98 SE No RAMDRIVE (needed for SmartDRV to install the OS in a reasonable amount of time; can take HOURS without that)
