Reassociating ICD and CPT Codes in eClinicalWorks
This video demonstrates a process for correctly associating medications, labs and imaging orders with the appropriate ICD-10 code. This can be helpful if you found that you've created several orders and they're attached to the wrong diagnosis. Ordering labs and imaging studies under the wrong diagnoses will almost always result in payment denials from payers, which creates unnecessary work for your billing office, delays in payment and frustration in general.
Rather than deleting all of your orders, this process lets you correctly associate each CPT code with the ICD code and you can do it all in one screen.
