Ron Ananian The Car Doctor™ is checking out a '66 Cadillac El Dorado in the shop. Remember how big those cars were? Ron gets under the vehicle to take a look at the chassis and suspension. The first thing Ron notices in this traditional old-school suspension system is a level ride compressor. He also points out other fun finds such as traditional drum brakes, a full-size frame with solid floors and GM trailing arms. But the one thing Ron doesn't find on the exhaust is a catalytic converter!
With the technology and large frame, the '66 El Dorado rides great and still works today.
Be sure to watch 1966 Cadillac El Dorado Part 2 and get a look inside the engine. Watch it here! • Video
