That time I got sh*t on by a black mamba snake…💩
When I had contacted @nick_evans_snake_rescuer to film a video together about the black mambas and snakes in Durban South Africa, I never imagined that I would get as hands on with the snakes as I did…🫣
The plan for the day was the release of 2 Mozambique spitting cobras and 2 black mambas along with some non-venomous snakes. The snakes had been rescued from residential areas and needed to be released back into the forested area. 🐍
However, Nick does a thorough job of noting down data from some of the individuals he captures for release. He also places a small micro chip (similar to the ones used in cats and dogs) so that he can ID an individual in the case they need to be relocated again. This can give him insight into the growth and health of various individuals over a longer period of time.
He asked if I could help with the measurement of a 2 meter + female, but of course I was away from the dangerous end and down at the “poopie end” which left me with the lush fragrance of black mamba poop on my hands. 🤣
Quite the experience if you ask me. 😅
