Below are these three distinguished picture books on prevailing also known as engaging and persisting or sticking with it. I also linked to my other video on this topic and a marvelous read aloud. All of these are fantastic picture books for the art studio, elementary art class or any picture book collection.

For my other recommendation of other picture books on Engage and Persist check out    • Picture Books on Engaging and Persisting -...
I always try and bring in diverse voices and critical literacy.
I have another book on this topic coming soon that I'll post here as soon as I can plus reviews of picture books on other studio habits.

Mirette on the High Wire book by Emily Arnold McCully
Uncle Jed's Barbershop by by Margaree King Mitchell (Author), James E. Ransome (Illustrator)
Sophie's Masterpiece by Eileen Spinelli (Author), Jane Dyer (Illustrator)
One of the BEST read alouds I've ever heard and it's approved and legal. Sophie's Masterpiece read by    • 'Sophie's Masterpiece' read by CCH Pounder

Engaging and Persisting is a Studio Habit of the Mind and an important skill both in life and in art making. But it is equally important not to blame people who are oppressed for "not trying hard enough" instead we should look at what we can do to join them in changing unjust systems. It is also okay to reflect and adapt sometimes even thoughtfully quit, because if we stick with everything all the time we aren’t prioritizing. There will be more videos on this topic in the future so don’t forget to like and subscribe and check out the other picture book reviews!
