I Spy Gold Challenger Photos by Walter Wick, Riddles by Jean Marzollo Great for all ages. (though artists below 1st will need help.)
Flotsam (wordless) by David Weisner Fabulous work of art for all ages. It is the winner of a Caldecott.
I SPY An Alphabet in Art by Lucy Micklethwait the beautiful artwork can be enjoyed by all ages but the riddles are best for 1st-3rd.
Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett (Author,Illustrator) Beautiful for ages 1st grade up.
Town Mouse Country Mouse by Jan Brett (Author,Illustrator) Magical for ages 1st grade up.
Each Peach Pear Plum by Allan Ahlberg (Author), Janet Ahlberg (Author, Illustrator) an excellent read aloud. Toddler-2nd. I still love it.
Dear Mrs. LaRue: Letters from Obedience School Author Illustrator Mark Teague I recommend this to 2nd -5th grade.(But again I still love it. So don't be scared off if you are interested.)

Julia D'Ambrosi Major is a DCPS art teacher. Her videos focus on cultivating artistic thinking and the Studio Habits of the Mind (from Harvard's project zero.) She has a Master's of Art Teaching Degree in Pk-12th Visual Art from American University. She also has a BA in Communication Arts Theatre from Austin College. She works for Horace Mann Elementary School, a fabulous DC public school. She is proud to be a centaur and part of DCPS.
