Are You Truly Righteous?
If I had to ask you what is righteousness what would you say? Is it a fruit of the spirit? Is it something that you inherit from God when receiving Him as your Lord and Savior? Is it something you grow into as you walk out your life of faith in Him?
Fruit of righteousness from Jesus - Philippians 1:11
Attributes of righteousness:
Light- Proverbs 13:9
The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked goes out.
John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
John 11:10
But if anyone walks during the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”
Protection - Psalm 5:12
For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.
Peace, quietness, and confidence forever - Isaiah 32:17
And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
