Ginataang Langka with Fried Fish
This is Ginataang Langka (Jackfruit in Coconut Milk). This is a vegetable dish made mainly with Langka (Jackfruit) and few other ingredients. This dish can be cooked without any meat if you are vegetarian.
Disclaimer: I'm not a chef. You don't need to be a Pro to eat good food, or eat food that you like or crave for. You just have to explore in the kitchen! My cooking/baking is based on my personal taste and I always do it my way. I just love cooking food and making video recipes of it, even my first time cooking. Most of my recipes are also from Youtube and other reading materials. My measurements are often estimates, and some of my ingredients are optional and leftovers.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo unripe jackfruit chopped1 cup coconut milk2 pieces chili chopped
1 medium onion sliced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
Instructions:
*Heat the cooking oil in a pan.
*Once the oil becomes hot, sauté the onion and garlic.
*Add the fried fish. Cook until medium brown.
*Add the jackfruit. Stir and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
*Cover and let it cook.
*Pour the coconut milk in the pan. Let boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
*Add the chili, ground black pepper, salt and sugar. Stir.
*Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve.
