Unpacking my Collins axe, and just for the fun and experience, bucking a small tree before doing anything to it at all.
This is the start of my axecordwoodchallenge for 2019. I need to practice my aim and work on bucking and limbing skills, as I haven't ever done much of that with an axe. I've mostly used them for splitting, and felling an occasional tree. This is my first "chopping" axe, and it'll be something of an experiment as the year wraps up.
Shoutout to SkillCult and Benjamin Scott for making awesome videos, and being the mentors I need to get through this learning curve safely. These guys have so much knowledge and they share it freely. Please click and subscribe to their pages if you are into this kind of stuff.
