Many assume that highly successful individuals always have agents, but that's not always the case.
I didn't engage a speaking agent until my second TED talk went viral. Even when my first TED talk gained attention, I wasn't sure if I wanted a career as a speaker. Years later, I founded Wise Whisper because I realized my passion lay in writing talks rather than delivering them. While agents approached me based on perceived business potential, I didn't commit until I was certain. Remember, agents are interested in representing you only when you have a steady stream of leads.
