This is a recorded version of the workshop held on 3rd May for high school students. The session had three segments-
Session 1: From farm to factory: how does economics work? | Sunit Arora and Shiuli Vanaja
--In this session, we covered about the production process in agriculture and factories using real-world examples from the field (Sunit) and imitating factory production in a classroom setting using games and exercises (Shiuli).
Session 2: Understanding budgets | Avinash Tripathi
--Every year there is a lot of media buzz around the budget presented by the finance minister. What is a budget? How is it made? How does it impact the life of common people? In this short talk, we explore some of these issues.
Session 3: The joys of doing social science | Sharib Zeya
--The session would be on curiosity, civility, and courage and to start thinking like a Social Scientist.
