SA-90 by TRUMPETER
this has taken me over 2 months to complete , I tried to film it step by step but failed ! I have a cataract in my left eye and a shaky right hand , so this build was not easy . Fit is good , even over-engineered in places , lots of clean up where sprues joined parts and basic hull pieces warped so it was difficult to tell what was square , some parts microscopic !! I didn't manage to build the baskets on the turret top , but settled for a retaining wall in plasticard . I wanted to keep it fairly clean , like a VSEL demonstrator , so just lightly weathered , mainly mud .
I have a collection of 1;35 armour , which I have never photographed , I have it stored away on perspex shelves to keep the dust off . I did some photos , with my Trumpeter CHALLENGER II to show what a monster the AS-90 is , most I believe have been supplied to Ukraine , where they will be put to good use . I may put some more armour on the channel if anyone is interested ?
