MENG KIDS J-15 FLYING SHARK BUILD . Chibi / Compact / Cartoon
Following on my Chibi Airforce Fleet , the Chinese Shenyang "Flying Shark" like most of the Chibi models this is a great little kit .the fit is so good it can be assembled without glue , in fact you need to be careful when painting and assembling that you may not be able to prize apart the pieces -without damage !! No fit issues and no putty needed . canopy opens , tailhook drops down , wingtips fold - although they are so stubby it is difficult to tell .
I didn't use the missiles , they were just too chubby , I adden a droptank made from a 1:72 bomb . The crew are brilliant caricatures , especially the little shooter , he is a major attraction , I made a small deck section out of balsa so he could be posed with the plane .
Love these little guys , only problem is they are getting up to £20 and cannot always get free post - though some chinese companys will post free . The stickers are so good I used them in preference to the decals , they are super thin , not paper and super sticky .....you only get one try at positioning them .
