Having survived Nathan Prescott's attack, Chloe and Max begin to chat in the car. Although Chloe and Max were old friends, they hadn't seen each other for a long time. Chloe is upset with Max for not trying to reach out to her for a long time. However, the strong bond in their friendship still exists; they don't hold grudges against each other. Max's camera was broken during Nathan's attack, and she needs to repair it. To do so, she requires some small tools. Chloe informs Max that there are tools in her stepfather's garage that Max can use to fix her camera. Max and Chloe arrive at Chloe's home. Max reminisces about old memories in this house that she hasn't seen in a long time. Chloe, once a very cheerful person, has become quite melancholic. She asks Max to put some music on the CD player to get lost in thoughts. While searching for the CD player in the room, Max notices a photo of Chloe and Rachel Amber. After her father's death, Chloe felt very lonely. Her old friend Max was also absent. During this time, Rachel Amber was the only person who brought Chloe back to life. Chloe is deeply saddened by Rachel's disappearance without a word. She assumes something bad must have happened to Rachel and is worried. Lost in deep thoughts, she wants to be alone for a while. During this time, she tells Max to fetch the tools for repairing the camera from the garage.
As Max goes to the garage, she notices something interesting. Chloe's stepfather is a security guard at Blackwell Academy. This revelation surprises Max. She finds the tools she needs for the camera repair but discovers that the camera is beyond repair.
While Chloe looks at the photos taken by Max, she sees the picture of Nathan pointing a gun at her. This helps her understand why Nathan Prescott was after Max. Chloe is ecstatic about this revelation and wants to express her gratitude to Max by giving her father's camera as a gift. Although Max hesitates to accept this special gift, Chloe is determined to give it to her.
To lift the somber atmosphere in the room, Chloe puts on lively music, and they start having fun. Just then, Chloe's stepfather comes home. Chloe panics and asks Max to hide quickly. Unable to find a suitable hiding spot, Max ends up being discovered by Chloe's stepfather. Angry at having a stranger in their house, he also notices the use of marijuana in the room. Fearing the consequences, Chloe shifts the blame onto Max, claiming the marijuana is hers. Max accepts this for the sake of her friend, but it puts her in serious trouble, jeopardizing her education at Blackwell Academy.
Chloe, triumphant over her stepfather, is happy. However, she now wants to leave the house and go somewhere else. The two sneak out of the window, ending episode 4. Now, we move on to the final episode. Enjoy the show!
