Giants: The Air We Breathe
Going full homo for Noam Chomsky on a video at some point. I'm not only an idiot but also very ignorant of the world around me, (We still need beetle people who live under rocks, ok?). No apologies, big updates on our model of the world and our selves and priors quite heavily, (A.k.a Damn was I wrong about a lot of sh!t... For instance! China ain't the enemy, (They ain't perfect, certainly better along metrics correlated with extinction likelihood :)
This answer of an, "Empire", seems to explain the variance of the world, (Weird F***ing Sh!t going on since the end WWII till now and quite heavily since pandemic happy happy fun times).

I'm not totally convinced there's no solution to our suicidal elderly warlord society... but I'm not overly confident in a social movement functioning differently than those that have come before. But technology throws a fat wrench in that model of the world so... I'm moving forward with empathy in Ai, (Necessary still; all the more probably), but perhaps there's something there. But big tech is just an arm of big brother, no? If you have thoughts on this I'd love to chat and record a video of it to put up for others.
