Junior Fishing Match
In this junior fishing match, 10 young anglers from Summerhayes Junior Club compete in the first ever annual John Proctor Memorial Match. First place will go to the biggest total weight and there's also trophies and prizes for most species, biggest carp, heaviest weight of silvers, and best newcomer.
Providing young people the opportunity to fish has never been more important and it's thanks to fishing coaches like John that summerhayes junior club continues to develop and grow stronger. The coaching pond at Summerhayes Fishery is called Denny's and where John, along with myself and others spent considerable time delivering various angling development projects, which led to the formation of the junior club. Learning to fish properly is also more important than ever, whether that's learning how to match fish, how to fish safely, or how to fish responsibly.
