Let's Craft: Fairy Garden Swing
Hi there!
Today, I'll show you how to transform a toy piece into whimsical cute decoration.
I've thought about working with a snow globe for a long time, but never really knew what to put in it that wasn't overly Christmassy looking, if that makes sense. And I also didn't want to go ahead and buy random things to put inside. So finding that toy swing finally gave me an excuse to work on that little project.
I had great fun working on the swing – remodeling toys is new to me but I have to admit I expected it to be a lot harder. Working with plastic can be tricky, but with a bit of model building glue anything is possible :D
By the way, it's a wonder that globe, which is real glass, made it to my place. I ordered it on AliExpress and they packaged it very well in styrofoam, so shipping across multiple countries was as secure as could be. However, I wasn't here when it was delivered, so a neighbor took it and put it in our yard. I picked it up after running errands and unpacked it then and there – if it was broken, I wanted to be close to the trashcan – and he was shocked to see it contained glass. Turns out he dropped it when accepting the package lol. Safe to say packaging is a solid 100/10.
So that was a fun little pit stop on the way to Halloween :D I'm currently working hard on all the masks I want to show you, so stay tuned for spoopy season!
