🔵 Diamond is a song by Via Verdi released in December 1985.
In February 1986, the disc reached the first position in the best-selling chart in Italy. After 35 years in 2020 they are still in business with the release of the album "The Time Machine".
Italian group formed in 1983 in Ancona by guitarist Marco Grati and keyboardist Glauco Medori, composers, arrangers and producers of the entire Via Verdi repertoire up to today. In the same year, drummer Maurizio Varano joins the duo, who collaborates with the band until the drafting and studio recording of Diamond.
Launched by Claudio Cecchetto (Diamond was the acronym for Deejay Television) they continued their activity by signing first with Wea (Warner) and then, in 1988, with Ricordi.

Gruppo italiano formato nel 1983 ad Ancona dal chitarrista Marco Grati e dal tastierista Glauco Medori, compositori, arrangiatori e produttori di tutto il repertorio Via Verdi fino a oggi. Nello stesso anno, si unisce al duo il batterista Maurizio Varano, che collabora con la band fino alla stesura e alla registrazione in studio di Diamond.
Lanciati da Claudio Cecchetto (Diamond è stata la sigla di Deejay Television) hanno continuato la propria attività firmando prima con la Wea (Warner) e poi, nel 1988, con la Ricordi.
