Happy Dam Proud Day 2024!
A tradition since 2019, Dam Proud Day is an opportunity for Beavers everywhere to rally together to support Oregon State University during Dam Proud Day. This 24-hour period is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of the Beaver community, supporting all OSU students and stretching ourselves toward our aspirations.
Dam Proud Day gifts can support more than 70 OSU programs and causes. With nearly 80% of the giving opportunities directly supporting students, rallying behind a cause you care about ensures the next generation of Beavers are ready to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow!
The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) is one of the strongest Earth and environmental science programs in the world — and we stand ready to lead the way into unexplored realms and toward solutions for our communities and the planet. Today’s Earth science students are tomorrow’s explorers and problem solvers.
We are also celebrating a half-century of educating leaders in all things marine, with the fiftieth anniversary of our Marine Resource Management (MRM) master’s program.

The Next Half Century -- Marine Resource Management Innovation Fund
For fifty years, our Marine Resource Management master’s program has been equipping future leaders to innovate in the areas of sustainable seafood harvest, community and resource advocacy, marine technology and more. A gift to this fund will enable the program to look to the next fifty years of helping to sustain and protect the marine environment.
Planet Pioneers -- Environmental Sciences Scholarship Fund
We have only one planet, and you can support the students working to understand and protect it. The Environmental Sciences undergraduate program is a leader in helping students develop interdisciplinary strengths in the natural and social sciences. Support our planet people!
All Aboard! -- Student Research Vessel Experience Fund
There’s no better way to learn about the ocean than being on the ocean. Your support enables students of all backgrounds to experience life aboard a research vessel: an unforgettable, real-world learning experience. Make a gift on Dam Proud Day to help students gain a deeper understanding of Oregon’s marine ecosystems and inspire and teach the next generation of ocean-going scientists.
Climate Solutions -- CEOAS Climate Science Undergraduate Scholarship Fund
Some have called climate change the defining problem of our time. CEOAS Climate Science students are equipped to find solutions, in arenas ranging from leading NGOs to teaching the next generation to conducting research in labs around the country. Your Dam Proud Day gift will ensure that students of all backgrounds can thrive as they undertake this critical step in their education.
CEOAS Needs You! – Dean’s Fund for Innovation Each year, CEOAS has many expenses that are not covered by state or tuition funding, including student recruitment efforts and academic conference travel for students and faculty. Giving to the Dean’s Fund for Innovation ensures a well-rounded experience that allows students and faculty alike to thrive.
