Mazdaspeed 3 - AUX Fuel Injector Testing (Bosch 1000cc) - 6th Port Injection
In this video, I test the 6th Port Auxiliary Fuel Injection system by pulsing the two pre-throttle body Bosch 1000cc injectors with the engine running at idle. Since the engine blew in August of 2019, the aux fuel injectors have just been sitting stagnant, so we want to make sure that everything is in good working order before we start taking advantage of this supplementary fuel system to run more boost and make more power. In the video, I mention that I would be using a minimum pulse width of 2 milliseconds on these injectors. However, since then I have done more research/testing and I am currently (May 2024) using a minimum pulse width of 1.2 milliseconds, tapering upwards to 3 milliseconds at about 27 psi of boost. This keeps my stock injector duty cycle (IDC) at a peak of about 90%. I think we still have a lot of room to turn things up further but time will tell. Thanks for tuning and enjoy!
