Asteroid Bennu - NASA's OSIRIS-REx Spacecraft
Asteroid 101955 Bennu is a small, near-Earth asteroid in the inner Solar System. NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft visited it in 2018, and many photos were captured throughout the mission. For over two years, OSIRIS-REx orbited and studied Bennu, eventually touching down and sampling the asteroid's surface. In September 2023, the spacecraft returned to Earth, carrying its cosmic sample back home for scientific study.
