thank you all for corrected translations

This is a rare catch, one I came across purely by chance.

It appears to be a null message, as the same set of numbers/characters are repeated. With some digging around, it translates as - "All listening stations in the country" three times, then "This is Beijing" two times, ending with "Thanks".

Little work for the spy or government spook that the message was probably intended for.

Numbers stations such as these are used by various intelligence agencies to get messages to spies without them being traced.

This station rarely seems to send any actual spy number traffic, but there are recordings of numbers being read elsewhere. This is a good example, recorded back in 1999:

I recorded this clip of it for over 3 minutes because it seems to be a very odd catch indeed. It was broadcast in AM mode, and the carrier seemed to hang around after the message.

It was recorded at 14:30 UTC and the message repeated at the top of the hour at 15:00 UTC.

Enigma code is V22.
