History:
The Nürnberg was a light cruiser of the German Kriegsmarine, named after the historic city of Nuremberg. It was the second and last ship of the Leipzig-class, launched on December 8, 1934, and commissioned into service on November 2, 1935. Built as part of Germany's naval rearmament in the 1930s, the Nürnberg was designed for speed and versatility, fulfilling roles ranging from reconnaissance to commerce raiding.
