Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade (DFFAC / DFFNT) Commentary - Sephiroth
So today we're going to take a look at Sephiroth. He's a vanguard character, but he's basically a vanguard/assassin hybrid if you play him correctly. His unique ability is that he can cancel the ending lag of his attacks, allowing him to quickly maneuver around the battlefield and combo opponents. This allows him to follow up on attacks much faster than other vanguards, thus why he plays a bit like an assassin. His fantastic range with his sword attacks and high move priority with his attacks make him a dangerous character. He's on the complete other side of the Vanguard spectrum from Warrior of Light, enabling a much more offensive and aggressive team play style. Having Sephiroth as your vanguard character and pairing him up with an assassin can be really dangerous for an enemy team if they don't play around it.
