This week we're taking a look at Bartz. Bartz is really a jack of all trades, his moveset is filled with long range attacks, fast short range attacks, some vertical mobility, and wide AoE attacks. He has a cool gimmick where each attack lines up with a job from FF5 and after using it a number of times, the job becomes mastered and the attack becomes stronger. Bartz seems like a really fun character to play with several different playstyles because of his mastery system and moveset variety. Every class he masters also gives Bartz a buff, which makes him a very strong late game threat. His ex skill lets him share those buffs with his team, so if the game goes on for long enough, he can flip a switch and make his team very powerful.

I could have made this video twice as long I feel like, there's a lot to say about Bartz. He's definitely a unique character. I definitely want to do another video in the future going into more detail about different Bartz strategies and playstyles.

*Something I just didn't have time to point out is that 19:26 on Bartz's game 5 winning kill, you can see that Bartz is attacked by Terra's bravery attack in the middle of his Samurai HP attack but it doesn't get interrupted. In this game there's an interesting system where each attack has a Cut and Keep value. I could make an entire video on this system and each move's properties, but my understanding of it is the Cut value represents how likely an attack is to interrupt someone using a different attack, whereas the Keep value is how resistant an attack is to being interrupted. So in this scenario, the Samurai HP attack has a higher Keep value than Terra's bravery attack's Cut value. Just thought it was an interesting interaction.

**Also a small mistake I noticed I made, at 16:50 I call Bartz's blue mage attack his dash attack. It's actually his forward aerial attack.

***As noted in the comments by Eyphio Li, Bartz's ex skill has actually been reworked. Instead of sharing each of his mastery buffs with his teammates, they get a 10% buff to attack/defense and 2% buff to speed per mastery Bartz has. It seems to also make each of Bartz's mastered attacks stronger in some way while his ex skill is active, although I can't find any concrete details on what specifically changes.

Now that this game has been announced as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT for NA, I'll try to keep up with any translation changes here.
-The type for Bartz is now 'Specialist' as opposed to 'Unique'.
