Karen Steele - Decision at Sundown (1957)
Karen Steele's character is due to be married when she sees former old flame Randolph Scott ride into town with gunslinger pal Noah Beery in Decision at Sundown (1957). Her father is none too pleased to see them and tries to run him out, little knowing that Karen has decided to find out what is going on by visiting Randolph at his new residence. When he tells her what her dad is trying to do she refuses to believe him, leading to an argument as old recriminations spill out. When he tries to throw her out, she slaps his face, leading to him turning the other cheek - hers - and slapping her backside in reply before kicking her out and leaving her rubbing her smarting behind as she walks off. It seems to of been a habit to do this out in the Old West - maybe it was to prevent saddle sores?
