Though not a full-fledged agile development life cycle methodology, Kanban is powerful in visualising and managing the movement of work. There are no fixed iterations in Kanban unlike other agile methods such as Scrum. Teams manage work through queues so that the flow downstream is better controlled. The work in progress is limited and so the team can focus on the activities and tasks and produce deliverables efficiently. Also Kanban has the right tools such as visual information radiators, team boards etc that address the key agile principles of transparency, inspection and adaptation.
