So you want to add your WooCommerce customers as subscribers on your MailChimp.
But do you really have the time to do that manually for every customer? It can be quite tiresome! That’s where Automate.io comes in. It’s a simple tool to connect your favorite web apps.
To begin, visit this page, click on our use case box and click on the Try Now Button.
To begin, you will see the Add Accounts screen. Here you will add your WooCommerce & MailChimp accounts to Automate.io. Authorize these apps by clicking on the ‘+ Add’ button and entering your credentials. We always keep your data secure with bank-level encryption.
After successfully authenticating your apps, you will land on the Configure page. On this page, you will configure the specific data that you want to transfer from WooCommerce to MailChimp. Once you complete this step successfully, Automate.io will add a subscriber on MailChimp for every new WooCommerce customer.
First, let’s focus on WooCommerce which is our trigger app. It is used to define when your automation should start. This automation, also called a Bot, starts when you get a new customer in WooCommerce. Now coming to MailChimp, it’s the action app, which defines what action should happen in the workflow. In our case, we want to add or update a subscriber on MailChimp whenever we get a new customer on WooCommerce.
Select the MailChimp list you want your customers to be added to. You can see that the customer’s email ID is already mapped for you. You can add some more customer info like their first and last names like this. However, you can map any other fields you want from WooCommerce to MailChimp like your customers’ other details like phone or address. You can even group your customers based on their interests and preferences. This data will help you get so many insights for your future campaigns.
We’ve set up our bot. Click Done. Now, let’s test it out. Now, come back to your Automate.io dashboard. Perfect! Let’s check our MailChimp. There you go! Your bot will now run in the background and do all the work for you. If you want to try out this automation, click on the link below to get started quickly.
