Sometimes when you are adding info to your Excel spreadsheet, you may also want it in your work organization tool. Instead of doing a manual copy-and-paste for that, you can take the help of Automate.io.

You will see the ‘Add Accounts’ screen. Here you will connect your Trello & Microsoft Excel accounts to Automate.io.

Alright! Our apps are connected. Time to build our automation, also called a Bot.
First, let’s talk about Microsoft Excel. It is our trigger app, which starts our Bot. This Bot triggers every time there is a new row in your Excel worksheet. And the column titles in your worksheet will appear here in the Output fields.
Now let’s move to Trello. It’s the action app that performs our desired action. In this case, we want to add a card to our Trello board by taking the info from the new row. By the way, you can even update your Trello card with the info from the new row. Or if you want to perform a different action, you can always set it here using this drop-down.
Now let’s set up our Trello card by dragging and dropping the row info like this.
Alright. Our bot is set up. Now let’s test it out. Now, come back to your Automate.io dashboard. Perfect!
Let’s check our Trello board. There you have it! This bot will now run in the background and automatically create Trello cards for you. And you will never waste time again copying information between the two apps.
