The 2023 Aconcagua Disasters
In February of 2023, three climbers would lose their lives over a span of less than a week on the slopes of Aconcagua as the summer climbing season on the peak was beginning to draw to its close. This is the story of that fateful and deadly week on the highest peak in the entirety of the Western and Southern Hemispheres.
